Bishoy Faltas, MBBCh, Instructor in Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, was named a NextGen Star of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), an award that supporting the development and professional advancement of early-career scientists in cancer research. Dr. Faltas is currently focused on the molecular profiling of urothelial bladder carcinoma, a disease with the highest recurrence rate of any malignancy. He is working to generate a detailed molecular profile of platinum-resistant metastatic urothelial carcinoma, with the ultimate goal of identifying the driver mutations for metastatic urothelial carcinoma, and to identify druggable targets for translation into therapeutic clinical trials. Dr. Faltas will present, Genomic dissection of the clonal evolution dynamics of chemotherapy-resistant urothelial carcinoma, at AACR 2017 on April 5, 2017 in Washington DC.
